Our Story Begins
The Founder
Omar Beltran from South Texas is the founder of Fetching Futures, a nonprofit built on family, love, and the bond between people and their dogs. As the former founder of Dollar for Doxies, Omar helped raise over a million dollars to support families in need. With Fetching Futures he has expanded that mission to shine hope on dogs of all breeds.
Inspired by his dachshund Brody and his sister’s yellow Labrador Luke, Omar created Fetching Futures with the support of his family who share his passion for giving back. Together they have built a nonprofit that is professional yet full of heart where compassion, community, and wagging tails come first.
In addition to leading the nonprofit Omar is also a content creator who enjoys live streaming and connecting with the community while spending time with his dogs.

Brody and Luke, a pair of spirited dachshunds, are the heart and soul behind the creation of Fetching Futures. From the moment they entered Omar Beltran’s life, it was clear these two pups were something special. With their curious nature, playful personalities, and unwavering loyalty, Brody and Luke brought joy and laughter into every space they entered. Yet, their story also served as a reminder of how many dogs are still waiting for the same chance at love and security.
Through Brody and Luke, the vision for Fetching Futures truly came to life. The companionship they provided and the happiness they inspired revealed the powerful bond between dogs and people and the responsibility we have to protect and nurture that bond. What began with two dachshunds became a mission to give countless other dogs the opportunity to live safe, healthy, and joyful lives.
Today, Brody and Luke remain the beating heart of our nonprofit. Their presence continues to inspire our team and supporters to give generously, advocate passionately, and build a future where no dog is left behind. Every effort we make at Fetching Futures carries a piece of their spirit, reminding us that two little dogs can spark a movement of compassion and hope.
